Ireland

One of the greenest countries in the world, Ireland boasts a truly unparalleled natural landscape on top of its fun culture, friendly people and remarkable buildings. Take Belfast’s mesmerising architecture and lively nightlife, or the inspiring monuments of prehistoric Ireland at Cashel, Clonmacnoise and Glendalough.

Ireland’s coastal towns are also stunning and draw in tourists for their natural beauty, the fine dining scene and castles. If you like walking, you have to visit Mourne Mountains and for those who are in for an adventure should check out Rathlin Island, Northern Ireland’s only inhabited off-shore island.

If you visit the cities, you will discover a lot of Ireland’s artistic and cultural riches, especially in literature and music. In the past years, especially in Dublin and Belfast, modern Irish restaurants have been making some of the best dishes in the world. The meat in Ireland is exceptional thanks to all the green grass. Seafood is also incredible, and we strongly recommend you to try the trout, oysters and salmon.

Best Times to Visit Ireland

Ireland is often rainy and experiences different weather and temperatures throughout the day so it’s always a good idea to pack both warm and normal clothes. The high season is through June to August, when summer temperatures can hit 24°C. Spring is also nice, you can enjoy a calmer weather through March until May. Also Ireland’s biggest event St Patrick’s Day is on 17th of March.

Some people go whales watching, this is possible through April until October in the Shannon Estuary and from September to February at the south-west coast. However, you should avoid visiting Ireland in winter, from November to February the temperature can decrease to freezing.
